My Journey So Far….

“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”

Probably one of the most powerful questions asked by Sheryl Sandberg (i.e. My hero). So, here I am,  I’m doing just that – I’m writing. I want to share with you my career journey so far, and I am hoping it will inspire you to do things you would otherwise do “if you weren’t afraid”. Or better yet if you knew, you couldn’t fail.

I’m Melissa, sometimes Mel and other times Princess Mel. I am 28, and I am a Consultant for one of the Top 4 global tech consultancies. I am a sister, a friend, a mentor and a Manager.

Sometimes, I am afraid and insecure. Other times I doubt myself and become completely obsessed with what people think of me. But mostly I am confident, creative and comfortable with who I am and where I am going.

I haven’t always been like this. In fact, it’s taken a while. And; still I don’t always get it right. But I’m still here, still climbing and still learning to take each chapter as it comes.

And, do you know what? that’s okay.

As I share this with you, I feel like I’m finally getting there and with that I am ready to take on the world.

I have written 5 honest reads on the highs, the lows, the challenges, and the achievements of my journey so far. Each piece will be released periodically and starts with the The University Dream. Click here to read, share and be inspired!

Finally, If I have one piece of advice for you it’s this:

“Never ever ever ever give up”

I hope you enjoy. x
